COVID19 - SAVE MUMBAI

    The capital city of Maharashtra and the financial capital of India, Mumbai is more affected by Covid19. People of Mumbai who contribute towards maximum taxes towards the Government which in turn is paid to the Public Servants. Inspite of this, Mumbaikars are facing maximum hurdles in curbing the spread of Covid19. 

Can we minimise this? How?

Is it solely the responsibility of the Police Force, Medical Fraternity & the Chief Minister of Maharashtra?
-No. 

My suggestions to the Honourable Chief Minister of Maharashtra :

1.   All the elected representatives such as Corporator's, M.L.A.’s and M.P.’s are Public  

Servants. They are elected to serve the people for which they are paid & enjoy all facilities and add-ons which is deprived to the common man. Being a public servant, they should serve the people in the present pandemic situation and at least give back to the Mumbaikar’s in return for their votes.

2. The Municipal Councillor’s should take the responsibility in their respective wards and obtain the necessary information. They should inform various authorities such as the Police, Municipality, Medical Fraternity and help the people below the poverty line as well as the migrant workers with the basic necessities. This report should be submitted to the M.L.A. of their Constituency.

3.  M.L.A.’s should be given task to monitor all the Municipal Councillor’s in their Constituency  and help them wherever necessary. They should in turn submit the report to the C.M.O. Office for taking favourable and necessary action.

4.  Chief Minister Office should form a Committee to monitor the above two to provide the necessary actions and precautions. The Committee should consist of an IAS Officer of a suitable rank, B.M.C. Officials, Police Officers, Medical Officers and Experts from amongst the Public. This will help minimise the problems before the onset of monsoons.

5.  The migrant workers should be sent immediately to their native places by Government vehicles free of any  charge and hindrance. The Govt. should also contact the counterpart states of the migrant workers. The delay in taking immediate action can lead to these hungry and shelterless migrants to cause a huge problem to the Mumbaikars thereby widely spreading this Covid19. 

Instead of spending Crores of Rupees to feed them and leave them on the footpath and in turn pressurising the Police Force to maintain law and order, a lesser amount can be used for their travel and conveyance to reach their home-town.

  

6.  Last but not the least, if these elected representatives fail to perform their responsibilities, they should be barred from contesting the next election and subjected to appropriate actions as per the Government's decision.
